Wind energy project in Michigan to use Vestas turbines

Vestas has received a 101 MW order for 56 V100-1.8 MW turbines from Consumers Energy, a unit of CMS Energy (NYSE: CMS), for the utility's Lake Winds Energy Park in Michigan.

Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2012, and commissioning is expected in the second half of 2012.

This is the second commercial-scale wind power plant in Michigan to use Vestas turbines. The first, Harvest Wind, was built in 2007 and includes 32 V82-1.65 MW turbines.
