The new-generation distributed flagship module achieves all-round leadership in ‘champion-level’ appearance, power and reliability through cross-generational structural upgrades.
During the launch event, David McElrea, CEO of the Smart Energy Council of Australia, was invited to attend and deliver a speech, sharing industry perspectives on solar technology innovation trends and the development prospects of Australia’s PV market. He noted that as Australia’s energy transition accelerates, market demand for high-efficiency, reliable and aesthetically valuable PV products continues to grow. LONGi’s new-generation modules, with their full-screen aesthetic design and high-efficiency, reliable performance, align with the continuously upgrading application needs of the Australian market and provide a new technology option for the local PV industry.
2. Full-scenario PV and storage products debut in Australia
Beyond the new modules, LONGi also completed the Australian debut of its energy storage segment and innovative solutions at the exhibition, showcasing a complete product ecosystem from utility-scale to residential applications.
Energy storage series unveiled: LONGi’s energy storage segment brought its latest products to the show, including LONGiBank 3.0, OneMatrix, Hi-MO One Pro, OneNexus M5 and OneNexus H2C.
- Utility-scale: large-capacity energy storage systems such as OneMatrix, designed for GWh-level large plants, providing highly safe, long-life grid-level support.
- Commercial, industrial and residential: Hi-MO One Pro and the OneNexus series, focusing on commercial and industrial peak-valley arbitrage and residential backup power needs, enabling intelligent integrated management of PV, storage and charging.
- Off-grid and microgrid: for remote areas and island scenarios in Australia, providing highly reliable off-grid microgrid solutions to ensure power supply stability in extreme environments.
LONGi Block: In response to Australia’s vast, sparsely populated territory and high O&M costs, LONGi also launched the LONGi Block highly integrated modular PV container solution, bringing a mobile solar solution with high density, strong protection, rapid deployment and simple O&M to the Australian market.
Distributed module matrix: In the module exhibition area, the Hi-MO X10 anti-dust module, Hi-MO X10 lightweight module and EcoLife residential module were all on display.
- Anti-dust module: designed for dusty environments, reducing cleaning frequency and improving power generation returns.
- Lightweight module: addressing the pain point of insufficient load capacity on old factory roofs, enabling installation without reinforcement and accelerating the green transformation of commercial and industrial buildings.
- EcoLife residential module: balancing aesthetics and efficiency, providing Australian households with high-quality green power options.
3. Dual TUV Rheinland certification for modules and storage, confirming quality strength
Australia is one of the markets with the highest PV entry barriers in the world.
The local market not only has stringent standards for product performance, but also continuously and strictly tests long-term product reliability. The complex climate of high temperatures, intense UV and persistent wind-blown sand erosion makes ‘short-term compliance’ and ‘long-term stable operation’ two separate thresholds. Only products that have undergone full-cycle reliability verification can win the trust of end customers.
That is why this certification is highly valuable: TUV Rheinland Germany issued a product conformity certificate for the Hi-MO 9 Prime on site, covering multiple reliability verifications including basic performance, LID light-induced degradation and LeTID high-temperature light-induced degradation.
Liu Yuxi, Vice President of LONGi and President of Global Marketing System, said: ‘The industry never lacks high-spec modules; what is truly scarce are products that have been verified over a full cycle and perform stably and reliably over the long term. TUV Rheinland certification is not just laboratory test compliance, but a quantitative, traceable and authoritative assessment of product safety, power generation performance and environmental adaptability, confirming that LONGi never takes shortcuts in quality control. What customers ultimately pay for is not a temporary parameter lead, but the long-term power generation performance of modules over 25 years or even longer. LONGi has always taken long-term reliability as the core benchmark for product R&D.’
At the same time, the LONGiBank 3.0 energy storage system also successfully passed TUV Rheinland certification.
‘Safety is the first threshold for energy storage products entering the Australian market, and local grid regulatory standards are extremely high,’ said She Haifeng, Vice President of LONGi and General Manager of LONGi Precision Control. He noted that this certification proves the products have successfully passed high-standard and rigorous review. LONGi adheres to a full-stack R&D approach to PV-storage integration, polishing PV and storage as one system rather than simply piecing products together, and relies on authoritative verified system capabilities to meet the real needs of Australian grids for stable power supply.
Local market recognition of LONGi’s quality has a long history. In July 2025, SolarQuotes, Australia’s leading PV quotation platform, released its half-yearly rating of PV and energy storage brands, with LONGi ranking first among PV module brands. This result consolidated LONGi’s brand position in the Oceania market and set a benchmark for the globalisation of Chinese PV companies.
4. Locking in a 2GW target and expanding the Australia-New Zealand cooperation map
During the exhibition, LONGi signed strategic cooperation agreements with several core partners in Australia and New Zealand, further consolidating channel advantages and expanding business boundaries.
LONGi x Raystech: deepening strategic cooperation and locking in a 2GW delivery target. LONGi signed a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Raystech, its exclusive distribution partner in Australia. The scope of cooperation has expanded from traditional PV module distribution to power plant development and integrated energy solutions for AIDC (artificial intelligence data centres). Under the agreement, the two parties set a combined module delivery target of 2GW for 2027-2029. The signing marks an upgrade of the cooperation model from pure trade to joint development of large-scale energy projects, jointly exploring emerging energy application fields.
New Zealand layout: dual signings to complete the channel network. For the New Zealand market, LONGi signed strategic distribution cooperation MOUs with Corys Electrical and Rise Energy respectively. The two signings are intended to further strengthen LONGi’s local channel coverage and service capabilities in New Zealand and complete the overall Oceania market layout.
In addition, LONGi held the 2026 Australia-New Zealand Retailer Excellence Awards on site, with three major awards: ‘Excellence in Cooperation’, ‘Excellence in Marketing’ and ‘Excellence in Business Growth’, recognising local retailers, installers and partners for their contributions to promoting high-efficiency PV technology and driving regional market growth.
Having cultivated the Australia-New Zealand market for many years, LONGi has always consolidated its product foundation with technological innovation, adapted to local stringent climate and access standards with long-term reliable quality, and continuously delivered integrated PV-storage projects. In the future, LONGi will continue to deliver full-scenario integrated PV-storage solutions, working with Australia-New Zealand partners to help the region’s new energy industry expand steadily and accelerate the low-carbon energy transition.
