Xinjiang introduced a photovoltaic industry development plan

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has recently introduced a solar photovoltaic industry development plan (2011 ~ 2015) (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), during the "12th Five year plan"  the Xinjiang photovoltaic industry outlined their development goals: By 2015, they want to establish a more complete solar PV industry chain, initially building a solar photovoltaic industry base, the center of Urumqi will become the photovoltaic manufacturing base.

"Plan": during the "12th Five-Year" period, Xinjiang will foster 3 strength, with strong core competitiveness, and an annual output of more than 10 billion yuan of a  large-scale photovoltaic leading enterprises, construction of three to five residential solar comprehensive application and demonstration areas, so that the main business income of the PV industry average annual growth of 70% or more, and strive to reach 50 billion yuan, and industry-wide employment will be around 100,000 people.

The plan also made it clear, by 2015, Xinjiang will build in Urumqi, Shihezi and Kuitun, Alar wings out of silicon material, the encapsulation of solar modules, solar photovoltaic system integrated into the manufacturing base.

It is understood that after 10 years of development, the solar photovoltaic industry in Xinjiang has a certain size and foundation, and has made considerable progress in research and development, manufacturing and application. In 2010, the photovoltaic industry in Xinjiang initially formed Urumqi High-tech Development Zone, Shihezi Economic and Technological Development Zone, Arar PV Electronic Park, Kui independent Economic and Technological Development Zone, this has been the  PV industry manufacturing gathering area.

With the introduction of the tariff, they have made "efforts to ensure energy supply, construction of a low-carbon society, promoting economic restructuring, foster strategic emerging industries," the strategy implementation is expected to have the end result of having a solar power generation capacity of more than 15 million kilowatts, the PV industry is facing rapid development and has gained new opportunities.
