Wind energy farm in Estonia to use GE turbines

GE (NYSE: GE) is supplying 18 wind turbines for the 45 MW capacity Paldiski Wind Farm in Estonia.


As part of the contract, GE will supply 18, 2.5 MW-100 wind turbines. Half of the turbines will go to Eesti Energia AS and half will go to Nelja Energia OU, which both own the farm. GE will also provide a 10-year full service agreement.


GE is scheduled to begin shipping the turbines in spring 2012, with commercial operation of the project expected in 2012.
