Suzlon Energy wins from Orient Green Power

India's largest wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy said that it has bagged INR 650 crore order from Chennai based Orient Green Power Company to supply turbines for projects with a cumulative capacity of over 100 MW.


Valued at INR 650 crore, the order involves the supply of 48 Suzlon wind turbine units.


The first project in Gujarat will have a capacity of 50.4 MW and will be commissioned by May, 2012, while the second 50.4 MW project in Karnataka is scheduled for implementation by June 2012.


A company in a statement said that "Suzlon received an order from Orient Green Power Company for supplying wind turbines for over 100-MW wind projects."


Mr Tulsi R Tanti CMD of Suzlon Group said that "We are very pleased to partner with Orient Green Power Company and look forward to delivering a complete project and services package."
