Power purchase agreement signed for wind energy projectSocial Media Tools TweetShare

Iberdrola Renewables signed a power purchase agreement with Silicon Valley Power to sell 50 MW of output from the Manzana wind power project in California. The contract will provide the output to SVP for 20 years.


The 189 MW capacity project will use 126 GE (NYSE: GE) SLE 1.5 MW turbines, a 34.5 kV collector system, an operations and maintenance building, a new collector substation and a 220 kV five-mile gen-tie line to interconnect the project to the Whilrwind 220 kV substation currently under construction by Southern California Edison.
