Nuevo Laredo great place to teach Energy Masters program

LAREDO, Tx.- Nuevo Laredo was labeled as one of the best cities to teach an Energy Masters program, that will be held at the University of Technology (UT) premises by the CIMAV (the Research Center for Advanced Materials.

The dean of the UT, Juan Leonardo Sanchez Cuellar, said the graduate program will be divided into six semesters and it will consist of eight classes, plus two compulsory classes for a specialization.


The tracks include Solar photo thermal, Electrical Energy Efficiency, Wind Energy (eolic energy) and bioenergy.


"This is the first opportunity that a master's program in energy is offered in Nuevo Laredo, the graduate program will be coordinated and conducted by the Research Center for Advanced Materials (CIMAV)," he said.


On August 4th requirements will be given to those who would like to pursue a master's degree. The UT was selected by the General Coordination of Technological Universities to provide the Masters program, that will begin next month and will last for 15 weeks per semester, with classes on Fridays from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturdays, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
