Five solar power purchase agreements approved

The California Public Utilities Commission approved five power purchase agreements between Soitec Solar Development LLC, a unit of Soitec, and San Diego Gas & Electric Co.

SDG&E signed the PPAs for 155 MW of projects that will use Soitec's Concentrix concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) technology.

The CPV modules will be manufactured in a new Soitec factory planned for the San Diego area.
