Duke Energy unit to buy 20 MW wind energy project

Central Hudson Enterprises Corp., a unit of CH Energy Group Inc. (NYSE:CHG), has entered into a sale agreement with Duke Energy Renewables, a unit of Duke Energy Corp. (NYSE:DUK), for the 20 MW Shirley Wind Farm in Glenmore, Wisc.


CH Energy acquired the plant in 2009 and commercial operation began in 2010. Wisconsin Public Service Corp. (NYSE:WIPSO) signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the output from the eight Nordex USA wind turbines.
