Canadian Solar, Green City Energy Complete German Project

Canadian Solar and green City Energy have jointly completed a 1 MW installation in the city of Haertensdorf in Saxony, Germany. The solar system is part of the Burgersolarpark installation and is located in one of the country's sunniest regions, according to the company.

The two companies have fitted solar modules on a total of 16 rooftops with a surface of 17,000 square meters. The modules, built by Canadian Solar, are expected to produce 1,000 MWh of energy per year.

Work began earlier this year on reconstruction of the roof. The project was completed within two months.
