On the morning of February 26, Shanghai Electric and Guangdong Energy Group officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement under the joint witness of Wu Lei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, and Zhang Fan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Guangdong Energy Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guangdong Energy Group”).
Wu Lei said that at present, Shanghai Electric is actively responding to the national “dual carbon” goals, focusing on the core areas of energy and industrial equipment, relying on deep technical strength and rich industry experience to accelerate the layout of the sea, land, air and network industrial chain. Shanghai Electric deeply connects with the development strategy of Guangdong Energy Group’s new power system construction and energy low-carbon transformation. The two sides have a broad cooperation foundation in the development of new energy projects, efficient use of traditional energy, energy storage technology and internationalization strategy. It is expected that the two sides will continue to work together to strengthen cooperation in industrial integration, digital transformation and the implementation of the “going out” strategy, and contribute to the acceleration of the construction of a modern energy system.
Zhang Fan welcomed the visit of Wu Lei and his party, and briefly introduced the recent industrial layout and strategic planning of Guangdong Energy Group. He said that as a solid backing for Guangdong Province’s energy security, Guangdong Energy Group adheres to energy as the core, promotes the coordinated development of related industries, and is committed to becoming a leading green energy company with international competitiveness. Guangdong Energy Group and Shanghai Electric have a solid cooperative relationship, and the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of technological innovation, project development and new energy. We look forward to the two sides deepening docking, strengthening technical exchanges, jointly exploring new cooperation models, giving full play to their respective expertise, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly promoting energy security and green transformation.
Jin Xiaolong, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Shanghai Electric, and Liu Bo, deputy general manager of Guangdong Energy Group, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Xiao Weihua, vice president of Shanghai Electric, and heads of relevant functional departments and subordinate enterprises of both parties were present at the meeting.
