NTPC tenders EPC work for 23 MW solar project in Maharashtra

June 3 is the last date to submit bids for installation and commissioning of the NTPC Solapur solar project tendered under the domestic content requirement category. Major items including modules and inverters for the project shall be provided by NTPC to the EPC contractor.

State-owned power generator NTPC has invited domestic bids for installation and commissioning of 23 MW solar capacity at its Solapur plant in Maharashtra.

NTPC intends to finance the package through its own resources and shall issue items like modules, inverters, structures, power cables, HT breakers, transformer, energy meters to the EPC contractor.

To be eligible, the bidder should have erected and commissioned an aggregate of minimum 18 MW grid-connected solar capacity, out of which at least one plant should have been of minimum 5 MW capacity at a single location. The reference plant of 5 MW or above size must have been in successful operation for at least six months before the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

Else, the bidder should have executed at least one electrical sub-station of minimum 11 kV voltage level, consisting of at least circuit breakers and associated cables and cabling works of value not less than Rs 9 crore in a single project. The executed work should be in successful operation for at least six months before the last date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

The average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than Rs 11 crore during the previous three financial years, with a net worth as on the last day of the preceding fiscal year not less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.
