Nevada Institute Gets Renewable Energy Grant

A non-profit whose mission is to foster the development of renewable energies here in Nevada is getting a boost from the federal government.


The Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization will get nearly $1.5 million in grant money thanks in part Senator Harry Reid.


The group assists in all facets of getting renewable technologies to the marketplace from the research end to development to corporate sponsorship.


Senator Reid says this grant will play an important role in making Nevada the nation's renewable energy leader.
