IKCO Plans to Export 15,000 Passenger Cars to CIS

Iran's largest carmaker, Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO), announced plans to export 15 thousand passenger cars to Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Belarus this year.

Javad Najmeddin, IKCO CEO, announced that two thousand of these cars would be produced in IKCO production plant in Belarus.

Expansion of international markets is one of IKCO's main objectives for the next year.

The market studies indicate that IKCO's coming-soon new products would be warmly welcomed in target markets. This issue has motivated IKCO to think seriously about exporting its new cars.

Currently seven percent of IKCO cars are dispatched to international markets. The company intends to increase the figure to 12 percent in the next year and 20 percent afterwards.

In order to expand its export to CIS, Africa and Latin America, IKCO has recently made agreements with the related countries.

There is another letter of understanding that facilitates the investment in CIS countries and provides tariff facilities in the customs union of these countries.

IKCO is the largest car manufacturing company in the Middle-East, the products of which are currently exported to more than 30 countries around the globe .
