Antaris' solar PV panels sees heat resistance confirmed

In a temperature benchmark, the Photovoltaics Institut Berlin (PI) has found that Antaris Solar's solar photovoltaic (PV) panels keep their performance at high temperatures.

During the tests, solar PV modules are placed in a climate chamber and exposed to variations in temperature ranging from -40°C to 85°C. In the final stage of the test the solar PV modules have to stand nearly 8 hours at a temperature of more than 85°C and one hour at over 100°C.

Antaris' solar PV modules were tested alongside modules from other manufacturers, and after the tests, several modules exhibited physical damages and further tests revealed a significant loss of efficiency for a part of the panels under consideration, the company says.

The AS M 185 solar PV module from Antaris, however, left the climate chamber without any physical damage and the following flash test proved unimpaired performance capacity.
