Suzlon Plans to Offer Solar Power Products to Expand, Mint Says

India's Suzlon Energy Ltd. plans to focus on solar power over the next three years to add to its offering of wind energy products, Mint newspaper reported.

The company is developing technology to combine solar and wind energy products, Suzlon Chairman Tulsi Tanti said in an interview to the newspaper.

Solar power can be less expensive when it uses the same area, infrastructure and maintenance support as wind energy, according to Tanti.

Suzlon is the world's fifth-biggest wind-turbine maker.
