Rooftop solar energy project coming to U.S. Marine base

Baker Electric Solar and Blue Oak Energy are teaming up to install a 1.5 MW solar photovoltaic project at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in California.


The system is expected to be installed on the rooftop of the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters at the base. Baker Electric served as subcontractors for all of the electrical and solar construction and Blue Oak completed and coordinated the design engineering for the solar integration.


The project consists of four separate solar arrays using 4,680 SunPower solar panels.
