Tender Issued for CAPEX and OPEX Estimation of a 10 MW Solar Project in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), has invited bids for carrying out capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX) estimation to set up a 10 MW solar project at the Cauvery basin refinery in the Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu.
The work should be completed within four weeks from the issuance of the letter of award.
The last date to submit the bids online is September 27, 2021. Bids will be opened the same day.
The scope of work includes the solar intensity and resource assessment of the project site, solar power potential simulation, and project yield analysis.
It also includes the evaluation of the grid-connectivity from the proposed project site and power evacuation mechanism. The study should provide the CAPEX and OPEX estimates for the selected technology and estimated project financials with sensitivity analysis.
The consultant’s report should also mention the project execution modality options and the project schedule for the subsequent stages of the project.
The successful bidder will have to furnish 3% of the contract value as the security deposit.
The company has stated that the contractor should establish a site office at each job site within ten days of accepting the tender and maintain it until all contractual obligations are met.
The contractor should not assign, sub-contract or sublet the whole or any part of the work except with the written consent of the Engineer-in-Charge.
IOCL recently?invited?bids to empanel vendors to develop solar projects at its locations and retail outlets across India. The scope of work included the design, engineering, testing, supply, packing, transportation, storage, installation, and commissioning of the project.
Earlier, IOCL?had?invited?bids from engineering, procurement, and construction contractors to set up a 2 MW ground-mounted on-grid solar photovoltaic project at its LPG bottling plant at Tikri Kalan, Delhi.
