Trinasolar Vertex N 720W modules transform slopes into solar power generators

An agrivoltaics power plant on the plateau of Guizhou province, southwestern China, has been connected to the grid using Trinasolar’s Vertex N 720W series modules. With total capacity of 67.5MW, the plant is expected to save about 20,900 tons of standard coal a year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 57,100 tons. The plant provides stable and efficient green electricity to the region and benefits thousands of local households.

The plant site enjoys abundant sunlight, receiving about 1,100 hours of usable sunshine a year, and offers vast unused land, thus making it an ideal location for photovoltaic development. The grid connection not only improves the local energy mix but also strengthens regional power supply. By contributing to energy conservation and emissions reduction, the project supports the region’s transition toward a greener economy.

Trinasolar Vertex N 720W series modules, equipped with advanced 210mm technology and n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology, are renowned for their high reliability, high efficiency, high power, high energy yield and their ability to reduce LCOE, delivering better value to customers. In addition, this module has passed seven rigorous reliability tests by Kiwa PVEL and is the first in the industry to receive UVID certification that vouches for the reliable and stable performance of PV plants.

The project also integrates livestock breeding or farming beneath elevated solar modules, allowing livestock and renewable energy production to coexist.

The project manager said: “Trinasolar has rich experience in providing products and solutions to agrivoltaics projects worldwide, such as several in New Zealand at Kohirā, Rangitaiki, Waikato and Te Herenga o Te Rā. We are proud to deliver high-performance solar solutions for the growing renewable energy sector.”

As a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, Trinasolar looks at many different settings and provides customers with high-performance products and solutions. Trinasolar will remain customer-oriented and contribute to global green energy transition through technological innovation.
