Tender Issued to Install Electrical Systems for a Solar Project at a Temple in Nagpur

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has invited bids to design, supply, install and commission electrical systems required for a 1.168 MW solar power project at Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple at Koradi in Nagpur district of Maharashtra.
The power will be procured by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operations and maintenance activities of the project for five years.
The last date to submit the bids is December 22, 2021. Bids will be opened on December 23.
The project’s estimated cost is ?17.79 million (~$234,156).
Bidders will have to submit ?177,942 (~$2,342) as an earnest money deposit. Successful bidders will have to furnish 3% of the contract value as the security deposit.
The successful bidder will be required to complete the work within 120 days from the receipt of the work order.
The bidder must have an electrical contractor in the firm who should issue the authorization certificate. The electrical contractor should have a minimum of 15 years of experience, and the license must be valid up to 90 days from the date of the submission of the tender.
The bidder should have successfully designed, engineered, supplied, erected, and commissioned a minimum capacity of 1.5 MW of grid-connected solar power project during the last three years.
The bidder should have a field service set up to provide after-sale services to carry out repair and replacement work within 48 hours from the time of reporting the fault as and when required for five years.
The bidder should have a cumulative turnover of ?60 million (~$789,732) during the last three years.
If the systems are not installed and commissioned within the stipulated period as mentioned in the work order, the bidder will have to pay a penalty of 1% of the total amount, subject to a maximum of 10% of the total cost of systems.
Last June, MEDA had invited bids for over 4 MW of solar projects to be developed in Akola, Vasai-Virar, and Amravati districts. The projects were to be developed under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation Abhiyan in Maharashtra.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, MEDA has issued tender for 55 MW of solar projects to date.
