Surat Municipal Corporation Tenders 10 MW of Solar Projects

Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has invited bids for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 10 MW of grid-connected solar power projects with land on lease at any location in Gujarat.
The successful bidder will also have to take care of maintenance activities of the project for ten years, including free maintenance for the first year.
The last date to submit the bids online is November 20, 2021, and bids will be opened on December 2. The pre-bid meeting will take place on October 29.
The estimated cost of the project is ?644.6 million (~$8.58 million). Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ?6.446 million (~$85,823) as an earnest money deposit.
The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount of 2.5% of the order value as a bank guarantee within ten days of the issuance of the work order.
Also, the bidder will have to submit an amount of ?2.5 million (~$33,285)/MW of solar modules as insurance against the solar module warranty, and it will be valid for 25 years. It should be submitted before the submission of the performance bank guarantee.
To participate in the bidding process, the bidder must be an Indian module manufacturer. The offered modules should have been tested at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) accredited test centers. The modules should have a minimum efficiency of 17%. The bidder must have his own office and authorized sales and service center in different parts of India. He should also have an authorized exclusive service center in Gujarat.
The bidder should have executed one similar work of a total value of at least ?520 million (~$6.92 million), or two similar works of value ?320 million (~$4.26 million) each, or three similar works of value ?260 million (~$3.46 million) each in the last seven years.
The bidder should have experience in design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a cumulative installed capacity of 10 MW or above of grid-connected solar projects in India in the last seven years, with a minimum of 1 MW capacity and one power project of 5MW or above. Out of the 10 MW capacity, there must be at least one solar project of 5 MW or above capacity, and it must have been operational for at least one year.
The bidder’s average annual turnover for the last three financial years should be at least ?193.38 million (~$2.57 million), and the net worth of the bidder should be positive in the previous three financial years.
The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited recently invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 60 MW grid-connected solar power projects at various substations of the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation in the Kutchh district of the state.
