Suntech eyes to sell 20 pct product to China

Suntech Power Holdings Co., the world’s largest maker of silicon solar panels, plans to sell off 20 percent of its solar related products in Chinese market within three years, according to Bloomberg.


Currently, about 78 percent of Suntech’s revenue is generated in Europe, while the U.S. accounts for about 7.5 percent, Germany will likely remain Suntech’s biggest market by 2012, according to the report.


As China is getting more and more awareness of environment protection, more policies or measurements may launched out to boost the green energy development.


The world’s biggest greenhouse-gas emitting-nation plans raise its solar capacity about 10-fold increase in the next decade.


Suntech, also signed agreement on Jun 26 with Panzhihua government on constructing a large-scaled solar PV projects at a investment of 8 billion yuan.
