Solar Panels To Power School And Young Minds

A high school in the Adirondacks is going green.

Lake Placid high school will be installing solar panels this summer thanks to an effort among various local and state agencies.

In addition to providing some power to the school, the solar panels will also be used as a teaching tool in the classroom.

Part of the $35,000 project will be paid through a grant. The rest of the money will be raised through a small surcharge on Lake Placid electric bills.
