NTPC Floats O&M Tender for 260 MW of Solar Projects in Rajasthan

NTPC Limited has invited bids for the comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) of its 260 MW solar project at the Bhadla Solar Park in Rajasthan for three years.
The last date to submit the bids is January 19, 2022. Bids will be opened on January 21.
The bidder should have executed a contract to install and commission at least one grid-connected solar project of 150 MW or above capacity during the last seven years as on the bid opening date.
Alternatively, the bidder should have executed a contract for O&M of at least one grid-connected solar power project of 150 MW or above capacity for at least one year during the last seven years as on the bid opening date.
The bidder’s average annual turnover should not be less than ?93 million (~$1.24 million) during the last three financial years. The net worth of the bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.
In case the bidder meets the requirement of net worth based on the strength of its subsidiaries or the holding company, the net worth of the bidder and its subsidiaries or the holding company, in a combined manner, should not be less than 100% of the total paid-up share capital. However, their net worth should not be less than 75% of their respective paid-up share capital individually.
Only Class-I local suppliers can participate in the tender. The local content requirement to categorize a bidder as a ‘Class-I local supplier’ is a minimum of 50%.
Any bidder from a country that shares a land border with India can participate in the tender only if the bidder is registered with the competent authority.
This September, NTPC invited bids for the O&M of a 15 MW solar power project at Jayant, Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier, NTPC had invited bids for the operations and maintenance of the 10 MW solar power project at its Unchahar plant in Uttar Pradesh.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, NTPC has so far floated O&M tenders for 55 MW of solar power projects.
