NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited bids from contractors for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package along with the land to develop grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to 100 MW in Maharashtra.
The last date to submit bids is December 20, 2021. Bids will be opened on the next day.
Each project will be at least 2 MW, and the maximum individual project capacity developed in a district should not be more than 10 MW. The project should be designed for delivering energy at 11 kV level to an MSEDCL substation. A list of the MSEDCL substations in the district is provided.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging, forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects. After commissioning these projects, the successful bidder must provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for these solar projects for three years.
The successful bidders need to furnish performance securities worth 3% of the contract price within 28 days from receiving the notification of the award. They must commission these solar projects within 11 months from receiving the notification of the award.
According to the tender document, the land identified for the solar project will be transferred or leased to NVVN.
To participate in the bidding process, bidders should have a minimum average annual turnover of not less than ?54 million (~$720,600)/MW in the last three financial years. Bidders’ net worth also must not be less than 100% of their paid-up share capital in the last financial year.
Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, invited bids from contractors for an EPC package and land to develop inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects up to 1,200 MW capacity in Karnataka.
Mercom had earlier reported that NTPC Limited invited bids for an EPC package with land development for 1,200 MW of grid-connected solar projects in Rajasthan.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, NTPC has floated solar EPC tenders for 6.2 GW to date.
