Int'l nuclear expert team returns from Yongbyon

A team of three-nation nuclear experts on Thursday returned to Pyongyang from Yongbyon after atwo-day visit to the nuclear facilities of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Members of the team refused to reveal details about the visit. The team is expected to have a discussion with the DPRK on the measures required to disable nuclear facilities at Yongbyon on Friday.

The experts visited the country at Pyongyang's invitation, which was described as a "significant step toward denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill last week.

The team, led by a U.S. State Department official, includes seven experts from the United States, one from China and one from Russia.

The team is scheduled to leave Pyongyang on Saturday.
