Empanelment Tender Issued for Solar Project Consultants in Gujarat

The Gujarat Urban Development Company (GUDC) has invited bids to empanel consultants to set up 7.7 MW of grid-connected solar power projects at water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations of municipality-owned buildings and land in the state.
The last date to submit the bids online is January 18, 2022. Bids will be opened on January 19.
Bidders will have to furnish ?50,000 (~$666) as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount of 5% of the contract charges as a bank guarantee.
The consultant should help secure utility permissions and clearances from various departments to implement the projects. The consultant should suggest modifications based on site conditions and submit recommendations along with cost variations for approval.
The consultant should also visit the facilities of the suppliers of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to ensure quality and timely supply of material for the project.
The tender also specifies that the consultant should monitor and achieve progress with reference to pre-fixed targets drawn up jointly with the contractors and furnish fortnightly progress reports with the implementing agency.
Bidders should have experience in executing one similar assignment of a minimum value of ?4 million (~$53,310), or one assignment of a minimum capacity of 2 MW of grid-connected solar project, or one assignment for the government of Gujarat or state public sector undertaking, or central public sector undertaking in the last seven years.
They should have experience conducting similar assignments of a cumulative capacity of 100 MW.
The minimum financial turnover of the bidders in the last three financial years should be ?50 million (~$666,378). They should have a registered office in India.
Startup companies will also be allowed to participate in the tender. Such companies should have experience conducting similar work for a cumulative capacity of 200 kW.
In September this year, the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation issued a tender inviting consultancy services to verify the designs and drawings of 25 solar projects. The projects with capacities of 10 MW to 100 MW are located near Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation wasteland across Gujarat.
