Dow Starts Naphtha Cracker at Dutch Terneuzen Chemicals Site

Dow Chemical Co. started a naphtha cracker at its Terneuzen chemicals site in the Netherlands on Feb. 5 to Feb. 6 following planned maintenance.


Cracker 2 was halted on Jan. 28. The unit, which has a capacity to produce 580,000 metric tons of ethylene a year, is one of three at the Terneuzen site. Ethylene is used to make plastics.
