Trina completes first European Trinamount installation

Trina Solar has completed its first Trinamount solar photovoltaic (PV) mounting installation in Europe – at a 50 kWp solar PV system in Cumbria, UK.

Sundog Energy, an authorised distribution partner of Trina Solar in the UK, installed the 50 kWp solar PV system, which consists of 212 Trina Solar TSM PC05, 235 W solar PV modules.

The multicrystalline modules were mounted on a pitched steel roof and will provide solar energy to for a livestock market building. Surplus power will be fed into the national grid.

Martin Cotterell, Founder and Technical Director at Sundog, says: “I personally led the installation team on site from start to finish. We had a race against time and a fight against bad weather conditions. We still managed to meet the tight deadline thanks to Trina Solar's new mounting system.”
