China Wind Turbine Accidents Disrupted Link to Power Grid, Xinhua Reports

Three wind power accidents in the northern Chinese provinces of Gansu and Hebei cut links between some wind power turbines and the power grid in February and April, the official Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the State Electricity Regulatory Commission.


China may announce a national technical standard on connecting wind power to the grid in the first half of this year to enhance safety, Xinhua reported, citing Li Yinghua, deputy head of the commission's safety regulatory bureau.
