China to Raise Renewable-Power Charge 50%, Shanghai Daily Says

China will increase the surcharge on electricity generated from renewable energy by 50 percent over two years, Shanghai Daily said, citing the China Electricity Regulatory Commission.


Grid operators may now charge 0.004 yuan per kilowatt hour more for power from renewable sources than from conventional thermal plants, the English-language newspaper said today.
