NTPC seeks to empanel domestic and international manufacturers for bulk procurement of solar PV modules as it aims to revamp its renewable energy generation capacity up to 32 GW with large-scale PV projects in India and abroad.

The state-owned power generator plans to procure around 1 GW of modules in the current financial year, with the requirement increasing to 2-2.5 GW capacities per year for the subsequent years.

The scope of work shall be manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding and transportation (for global suppliers, up to India port of delivery) of 1500V DC crystalline solar modules.

Eligible parties can file their interest until August 17.

To be eligible, the applicant should have manufactured and supplied a minimum 200 MWp of solar modules capacity for a single project in the last three years, with the reference project having been in successful operation for at least six months.

In case the applicant is an arm of the module manufacturer meeting the requirements as mentioned above, it is required to furnish a letter of a joint undertaking with the module manufacturer.

Further, the applicant should have an average annual turnover of minimum Rs 3200 million during the last three financial years, with a net worth exceeding 100% of paid-up share capital as on the last day of the preceding fiscal year.
