Toshiba completes 25-MW solar plant in Japan’s Miyazaki

Japan’s Toshiba Infrastructure Systems & Solutions Corp announced on Friday it held a completion ceremony for its 25-MW photovoltaic (PV) park in Miyazaki prefecture.

Global New Energy Togo Co Ltd will be in charge of the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the GNE Togo Mega Solar Farm, as the PV asset is named, for a 20-year period.

The solar park’s output will be sold to Japanese utility Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc (TYO:9508) under a 20-year contract, the unit of Toshiba Corp (TYO:6502) said in a press release.

The plant is located in a 535,000-sq-m (5,758,692 sq ft) area in Hyuga town. It uses solar cell modules supplied by TTCL Public Co Ltd (BKK:TTCL).
