Sungrow Residential Energy Storage System Earns JET Certification, Empowering Japanese Households with Green Energy

Sungrow, a global leading PV inverter and energy storage system provider, has officially announced that its residential energy storage system has obtained JET (Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories) certification. The certified products include the SH5.5RS-JP hybrid inverter and residential battery, with a maximum storage capacity of 12.8 kWh.

Sungrow Residential Energy Storage System Earns JET Certification

Building on the JET certification of Sungrow’s low-voltage products in 2024 (Sungrow Secures JET Certification for SG5.5RS-JP, Reinforcing Commitment to Excellence in Japan | SUNGROW), this achievement marks another significant milestone in Sungrow’s expansion in Japan market, reaffirming its technological strength and competitive edge in the energy storage sector.

Optimized Energy Utilization for Lower Household Electricity Costs

As electricity prices in Japan continuing to rise, household energy expenses have become a growing concern. Sungrow’s residential storage system features multiple operation modes, enabling the efficient use of solar power to reduce electricity costs and support sustainable energy consumption.

Smart Energy Management – Stores excess solar power generated during the daytime for nighttime use, minimizing reliance on purchased electricity.

Time-of-Use Optimization – Charges during off-peak hours and discharges during peak demand periods, optimizing household energy consumption and costs.

Enhanced Energy Security – Includes an automatic off-grid mode to ensure a stable power supply in case of grid outages and enhance household energy security.

JET Certification: A Testament to Safety and Reliability

JET certification is one of the most prestigious electrical safety certifications in Japan, requiring products to meet rigorous technical and safety standards. By obtaining this certification, Sungrow’s residential storage system has demonstrated its high safety, reliability, and superior performance, providing Japanese consumers with a trustworthy and efficient clean energy solution.

Commitment to a Greener Future

Looking ahead, Sungrow remains committed to further developing and enhancing its products in the Japanese market, advancing intelligent energy storage technologies, and promoting the adoption of green energy solutions for a more sustainable future.
