Jinko ESS implements Tahiti’s first large-scale PV+ESS project

Jinko ESS has announced the successful implementation of the first large-scale photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) project in Tahiti, the milestone marking a significant step forward in French Polynesia’s journey towards energy transition.

The project, spanning a surface of 10 hectares, features the installation of 10.7 MWp of Jinko’s cutting-edge Tiger Neo Series solar modules and 17.2 MWh of its SunTera energy storage systems with SMA PCS. Together, these advanced technologies are expected to generate an impressive annual 15,000 MWh of electricity – equivalent to supplying clean, reliable energy to over 5,000 households.

“We are delighted to contribute to Tahiti’s renewable energy goals through this pioneering PV+ESS project,” commented Roberto Murgioni, Head of Jinko ESS EU. “This accomplishment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative and impactful renewable energy solutions worldwide.”
