JDEnergy is delivering a new 10 MWh C&I energy storage project in Germany, further expanding its presence in one of Europe’s largest and most mature markets for energy storage.
The project adopts JDEnergy’s eBlock-418A, a modular energy storage solution designed for grid-side and large-scale C&I applications. Its AC-side architecture allows the system to be scaled efficiently to meet project requirements. Configured with grid-forming capability, the system can establish and regulate voltage and frequency within its operating range, rather than simply following grid conditions. This will help strengthen power quality and improve operational resilience, particularly at sites with critical loads.
On 14 May 2026, the project reached financial close through a non-recourse financing facility provided by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, reflecting the its confidence in the project’s bankability and long-term value proposition.Once commissioned, the project will enable to manage demand peaks, optimise on-site electricity use, and schedule energy consumption more effectively. It is expected to reduce demand-related electricity costs, improve the reliability of supply for essential operations, and provide greater flexibility in response to power-price volatility. Its fast-response capability can also support the integration of renewable energy and, where market arrangements permit, enable participation in balancing services and wholesale electricity markets.
The project represents another important step in JDEnergy’s long-term development in Germany. JDEnergy will continue to work with local developers and customers to bring reliable, bankable energy storage projects to market.
