ET Solar supplies 7.2MW solar modules to Hawaiian plant

China-based ET Solar Group Corp has supplied 7.2MW of PV modules to Helix Electric for a utility project located in Kauai, Hawaii, US.

The modules were installed at the Port Allen Solar Farm which is owned by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company, a subsidiary of real estate company Alexander and Baldwin.

ET Solar Group president and CEO, Dennis She, said the company is pleased with its business relationship with a strong industry participant like Helix Electric:

He added: "We are also very proud that we are the key equipment supplier of the largest PV project in the region.

"The significant transaction size demonstrates the growing demand and strong interest for our high quality module products as we strengthen our footprint in the burgeoning Hawaiian PV market."

Power from the photovoltaic facility will be sold to Kauai Island Utility Cooperative under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
