China sign framework agreement on biomass power generation project in Singapore

Guangdong Chant Group, a Chinese firm specializing in the design, development and manufacture of gas grills and gas heating appliances, recently announced a cooperation framework agreement with Biofuel Industries. According to the terms of the agreement, both companies will work together to build and operate a biomass power generation project in Singapore. With an expected investment of 200 million yuan (approx. US$32.2 million) to 250 million yuan (approx. US$40.3 million), the project will have a designed installed capacity of 1*9.9MW with daily fuel consumption forecast to be 260-300 tons. Chant Group said that the signing of the agreement marks the company's step forward in the area of integrated biomass utilization and will further promote its development looking forward.
