Wind energy joint venture plans 120 MW of capacity

Way Wind LLC entered into a joint venture with Nordex USA Inc. to co-develop and build a 120 MW wind farm in Nebraska. The farm must first be approved by the Nebraska Power Review Board. Way Wind first proposed the wind farm in 2008.

The project is expected to use 48 Nordex N100/2500 2.5 MW turbines that will be supplied from the company's plant in Arkansas. The partnership also allowed the project's planned capacity to expand from 99 MW to 120 MW.
