Vestas Gets Order For 75 Wind Turbines

Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems A/S (VWS.KO) said Wednesday it has received an order from Global Wind Power for 75 wind turbines for Bulgaria and Romania.

The order is for 50 V100-1.8 megawatt and 25 V90-2.0 MW turbines, and includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines as well as a five-year service agreement.

Installation of the turbines will start in 2010 and the projects are expected to be commissioned during 2010.

"We are very satisfied with this new contract with Global Wind Power and we appreciate the ongoing cooperation with this long-term business partner," said Hans Jorn Rieks, President of Vestas Central Europe.

The order doesn't affect Vestas' financial expectations for 2009 and 2010.
