Hoymiles Launches HIT Low-voltage Three-phase Hybrid Inverter to Redefine Energy Independence

Hoymiles, a global provider of solar & storage solutions for DIY, residential, C&I, and utility-scale applications, is taking another important step in the energy storage sector with the launch of its brand-new low-voltage three-phase HIT hybrid inverter. With a maximum output power of 20 kW, the HIT represents the highest output power and the highest power density in the industry. Designed for comprehensive safety, efficient energy utilization and reliable power supply, the HIT-(5-20)L-G3 series is set to make solar storage more accessible and profitable, redefining energy independence for homeowners and businesses.

Driving the evolution of smart energy storage

As the company expands its presence in the energy storage sector, the HIT hybrid inverter stands as a testament to its commitment to continuous innovation. Earlier in Q1 2025, Hoymiles was listed in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 Global Energy Storage Manufacturers ranking, highlighting its innovative technology and exceptional product performance. By integrating smart features, reliable backup, and advanced energy management into a single solution, Hoymiles is redefining the future of residential and commercial solar applications, paving the way for a more sustainable and energy-independent future.

Powering energy freedom reliably and effortlessly

Covering an output power range from 5 kW to 20 kW, the HIT hybrid inverter is suitable for a variety of application scenarios. It is built to enhance energy resilience and allow users to stay powered, even during unexpected outages. A seamless <10ms transition between on-grid and off-grid modes guarantees an uninterrupted power supply.

More importantly, it features a fully upgraded installation process, simplifying inverter wiring, meter setup, and cloud platform debugging—cutting installation time by 50%.

With a 50% continuous off-grid load capability for single-phase systems and a 10-second 200% overload capacity, it supports high-surge inductive loads like air conditioners and other electric motor products when blackouts occur.

Engineered for all-round safety and smooth solar experience

Unlike most three-phase hybrid inverters that operate at high voltages, the HIT hybrid inverter maintains a low DC voltage below 60 V to ensure property and personal safety. Additionally, the built-in AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection function prevents fire hazards by detecting and mitigating DC arc faults. Compliance with RED-EN18031 certification further guarantees data security, safeguarding user information and privacy with industry-leading standards.

Easy scalability and whole-home backup to future-proof energy usage

Traditional hybrid inverters require presetting critical loads and rewiring for backup system upgrades. But HIT’s full EPS (emergency power supply) supports whole-home power backup with a 50A bypass current, ready for now and future – no rewiring, no circuit upgrades at all.

The HIT hybrid inverter enables easy expansion for both on-grid and off-grid systems as the energy needs grow, supporting up to 10 inverters installed in parallel.

Maximizing ROI with smarter energy management

Hoymiles’ HIT hybrid inverter is designed to drive higher returns on solar investments. By pairing with low-voltage batteries, including lead-acid options, it offers an affordable and flexible storage solution.

The inverter’s four MPPTs (Maximum Power Point Trackers) optimize solar power generation on different rooftop orientations, ensuring maximum energy harvest with a max. efficiency of 98.5% and EU efficiency of 98%. The DC/AC oversizing ratio is as high as 200%, which can significantly cut down upfront costs and ensure the best solar harvest from the system.

Users can further cut electricity bills through intelligent energy management features such as Peak Shaving and Time-of-Use (TOU) modes, which offer the best energy-using schedule based on local electricity pricing.

A fully integrated solar energy ecosystem

The HIT hybrid inverter integrates seamlessly with Hoymiles’ LB series of low-voltage batteries and VAS/VAT series of EV chargers, forming a comprehensive energy ecosystem. This smart energy solution enables users to store excess solar power efficiently, charge their EVs sustainably, and optimize their energy usage for maximum independence.

Strengthening global footprint and ushering in a new era of smart energy

As the world accelerates toward a clean energy transition, Hoymiles is redefining what’s possible with its latest innovation. More than just a product, the HIT hybrid inverter marks a pivotal step of the company in empowering users with greater energy independence, maximizing solar value, and fueling the global energy transition.
