Sungrow residential ESS achieves JET certification in Japan

Sungrow has announced that its residential energy storage system has obtained JET (Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories) certification, the certified products including its SH5.5RS-JP hybrid inverter and residential battery, with a maximum storage capacity of 12.8 kWh.

Building on the previous JET certification of Sungrow’s low-voltage products in 2024, this marks another significant milestone in the company’s expansion in the Japanese market, reaffirming its technological strength and competitive edge in the energy storage sector.

As electricity prices in Japan continue to rise, household energy expenses have become a growing concern. Sungrow’s residential storage system features multiple modes of operation, enabling the efficient use of solar power to reduce electricity costs and support sustainable energy consumption.
