Minnesota commercial printing company unveils St. Paul’s largest solar project

The Vomela Companies, a commercial printing company, will dedicate its new 300,000 square foot headquarters on St. Paul’s East Side, and unveil the city’s largest solar array at an outdoor celebration Tuesday afternoon.
Joining Vomela leaders to mark the occasion are St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter, St. Paul Port Authority President Lee Krueger, Carlson School of Management Dean Sri Zaheer, Archbishop Bernard Hebda and Sanneh Foundation Founder Tony Sanneh.
“Vomela, which started in St. Paul more than 70 years ago, is committed to the community,” said The Vomela Companies president & CEO Mark Auth. “This facility greatly improves our workflow and efficiency and provides more opportunities for our 300 local employees.”
The company will also unveil its 1.3-MWDC rooftop solar project at the celebration. Impact Power Solutions, the company that installed the array, will plant 1,350 trees in honor of Vomela’s solar commitment.
