JA Solar: The subsidiary’s construction of the monocrystalline silicon stick project with an annual output of 12,000 tons began

JA Solar announced on the evening of February 24 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Xingtai Jinglong new energy co., ltd. plans to invest in the construction of 12,000 tons of monocrystalline silicon stick project in Xingtai Economic Development Area. The project is expected to increase the capacity of 12,000 tons of monocrystalline silicon stick. After the project is put into operation, the total capacity of Jinglong new energy’s monocrystalline silicon stick will reach 18,000 tons per year.

It is reported that on February 24, the project participated in the collective project commencement ceremony held by Xingtai Economic Development Area.

The investment of this project are in line with the strategic demand of the company’s capacity planning, which will help the company to further improve the capacity of efficient monocrystalline silicon stick, reduce the cost of silicon wafer, improve the vertically integrated industrial chain, seize the market development opportunities and increase market share. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will have a positive impact on the company’s future business performance.
