Ukraine will develop an alternative energy irrespectively of results of gas negotiations with Russia.
The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine intends to diversify the supply of imported gas to Ukraine.
Mr V Yanukovych said that "If we do not develop alternative sources of using a fuel position of Ukraine will be weak."
The President of Ukraine also expressed a hope that the negotiations with Russia concerning gas price will end in a compromise decision.
