Wind energy farm in Mexico gains financing

The North American Development Bank (NADB) approved a finance package for a 54 MW wind energy project in Mexico.


The NADB will provide a $51 million loan to developer Compania Eolica de Tamaulipas to help build the Ejido El Porvenir wind farm. The project will use 30, 1.8 MW wind turbines, a substation and a SCADA system for remote monitoring and control. It will be located close to the U.S. border in eastern Mexico.
