France to boost renewable energy funding

France plans to raise electricity prices by an average of 2.3 percent for households and businesses from August 15 to fund investment including in renewable energy sources, the Economy Ministry said on Tuesday.


France plans to raise prices for households by 1.9 percent from August 15, the ministry said. It did not give a separate figure for businesses.
