The Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL), a joint venture between the government of India and the government of Rajasthan, invited bids to procure 7,000 solar modules of minimum 380 W to 390 W made from 72 monocrystalline or mono PERC solar cells.
The last date to submit bids is November 01, 2021. The bids will be opened on the next day.
Successful bidders are required to furnish a performance bank guarantee for 5% of the contract value.
The successful bidder must deliver the modules within December 15, 2021, from the contract’s start in three tranches.
The successful bidder must also provide a warranty of ten years and free replacement or repair against manufacturing defects. The solar module’s peak watt capacity should not be less than 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
The solar modules must perform satisfactorily between -10°C to +50°C and withstand harsh environmental conditions and wind speed up to 130 kilometers/hour on the panel surface. Every module should comply with International Electrotechnical Standards (IEC- 62804). No negative power tolerance would be accepted.
The modules should be 100% potential induced degradation tolerant and have more than 25 years of service life. The minimum efficiency of modules should be over 18%. The glass used for modules should be of high transmission, low iron, toughened with a minimum thickness of around 3.2 mm to 4.0 mm. The glass must have a bending of less than 0.3%.
According to the tender document, only Indian PV module manufacturers listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) or their authorized dealers or distributors will be eligible to participate in the competitive bidding process.
A micro and small enterprise will be awarded 25% of the total quantity if it quotes below the lowest bid (L1)+15% and matches the lowest bid.
Earlier this month, REIL invited bids to supply 7,000 monocrystalline solar modules of 380 W.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, REIL has issued tenders to procure 102,610 solar modules to date.
