IDEEMATEC is now offering a 15-year system warranty on its Horizon L:TEC solar tracker solution for structural and mechanical components.

In addition to the 15-year system warranty, IDEEMATEC warranties the structure against perforation corrosion for a period of 25 years — based on the project corrosion classification.

Launched last October at Solar Power International, the new two-module-in-portrait (2P) tracker features a patented self-locking technology that secures modules in position against torsional galloping caused by extreme wind loads. The tracker integrates bifacial modules with zero shading and accommodates large-format modules.

Panels can remain in stow position, at a zero-degree angle, against up to 180 mph winds. With 30% fewer parts than the average system, installation time is reduced and maintenance is simplified. A new one-in-portrait (1P) version of the tracker is also now available.

“Our system already provides the highest additional gains, optimizes overall yields and improves the lifetime performance of a solar system,” said Mario Eckl, CEO of IDEEMATEC. “We know that our products can withstand even the harshest of weather conditions and we are prepared to back this up with our support services.”

The self-locking works using a segment sprocket connected to the drive tube, which locks the tables in place. The decoupled drive transports dynamic loads into foundational posts and away from gearboxes, increasing the life expectancy of all components.
