NTPC Floats O&M Tender for a 15 MW Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh

NTPC Limited has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 15 MW solar power project at Jayant, Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh.
The last date to submit the bids is September 13, 2021, and bids will be opened on September 15.
Earlier, in 2019, NTPC had floated the O&M tender for the same project for two years.
Only Class-I local suppliers are eligible to take part in the bidding process. The local content requirement to classify the bidder as a Class-I supplier is a minimum of 50%. Non-local suppliers will be outrightly rejected.
The contractor will not be allowed to subcontract work to any other subcontractor from a country that shares a land border with India unless the subcontractor is registered with the competent authority.
The successful bidder will have to furnish 3% of the total contract value within 30 days from the award notification as a security deposit.
The company states that micro and small enterprises (MSEs) will be given preference in the bidding process.
In the case the L1 bidder is not an MSE, then all the MSE vendors who have quoted within the range of L1+15% will be given the opportunity in order of their ranking (starting with the lowest quoted MSE bidder and so on) to bring down its price to match with the L1 bidder. The award of full quantity will be given to the MSE vendor who matches its price with the L1 bidder at a price quoted by the L1 bidder.
In December last year, NTPC invited bids for the O&M services of the 10 MW solar power project at its Unchahar plant in Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier, NTPC had invited bids for the operation and maintenance of a 10 MW solar project in Ramagundam, a city in the Peddapalli district of Telangana, for two years.
